Simply put, that's how I'm feeling these days. Nothing like a little pampering to recharge my batteries. The "Aunts" came marching in and I said "Hoorah"!;) We had such a wonderful time together. I listened to their stories and learned so much about them and the history of my Mom's side of the family. In return, they really listened to me. That's what I needed. Someone to just listen and understand and say "I've been there and I know how you feel and it's perfectly normal and okay. Now go do whatever you need to do to feel better." One of the coolest things that happened was taking my almost 80-year-old Aunt Lucella to get her very FIRST manicure and pedicure. The moment was priceless. She was tickled by it and said, "I really should have gotten one of these before now." Too cute. My children were spoiled rotten. It was great! Madelyn was held a lot and tickled a lot. Delaney was taught how to cross stitch and created her first masterpiece. Aunt Retta even framed it. We all went to her end-of-the-year program at school. My gosh, she's going to be in 1st grade next year. Oh - and in the Gifted Program - did I mention that? She finished testing and scored "exceptionally superior" in all areas. YIKES! She's already smarter than me. Anyway, Aunt Lorretta and Aunt Lucy were just what the Doctor ordered to get me out of my funk. I even learned how to crochet. I miss them tremendously already. Now I'm ready to take on the world... or just my 3 crazy kids... that's enough for now.
Happy Birthday to my big Sister/best friend in the whole, wide world on the 25th! I hope you enjoyed your birthday invasion - It was fun! And yet again, you're 3 whole years older than me (for 2 days a year we're only 2 years apart;). I LOVE YOU!
Friday night I had to say the official "goodbye" to my brother and Bradley and Ella (and Beth, too, but she wasn't there:(. That was truly difficult. I know he's been in Nevada for a while now, but with his family there, it's more "real" now - and he won't be coming back every couple weeks to see them. I'm going to miss them all so much. I'm thankful, though, for the 2 years we lived close. Good luck, guys! You always have a place to come to when you have a hankerin' for crawfish!
Otherwise, we had a great weekend... just us 5. It's stankin' HOT here, so we hung out in the back yard pool a lot and went to see "Over the Hedge" in the A.C. today with some neighbors. Tomorrow it's back to work. But seriously, with this renewed spirit, I can tell it's going to be a wonderful summer.

Sorry I haven't posted pics of this past weekend yet. I have some really good ones. I'm just having a ball with my incredible Aunts. They are truly gifts from God! I love them and appreciate them so very much.
Despite Ryan not being here, I had a fahabulous birthday. 31. Happy Birthday to me. I live in a tree. I have 3 monkeys. And I have to pee....bye.

THE CALVARY IS COMING!
My Aunt Lorretta (Retta) and Great Aunt Lucy are on their way! I'm am beside myself with delight. I know that sounds dorky, but I have no other way to explain it. They obviously heard my not-so-loud-and-obvious cry for help, jumped on their horses (packed their bags and got in the car) and headed my way! Man, there's nothing like family. I am due for some good "mothering" and there's no one better than those two to do it. I bet they won't let me lift a finger. That's just the way they are. I can count on them for anything. Thanks, Teresa, for lending me your Mom;) We'll take good care of her (and Aunt Lucy, too). We'll send them home wishing for a vacation;)
